Buy the default restock now: 13 gallon trash bags kitchen (paid link) · suncaddy-20
Wet cans and heavier pulls: contractor trash bags 3 mil (paid link) · suncaddy-20
This is not a ranked list. I did not run twelve bag brands on a wet-can lab. The decision is operational: you are empty before Monday, so buy kitchen 13-gal plus one contractor roll — not a third size from the end-cap.
Count remaining bags still on the roll. A torn last bag in the caddy is empty. Printed family photos on the box are noise. Mil thickness and two sizes are the buy.
What to look for
Name the size and the mil. Ignore the color of the box in the listing photo.
1. 13-gallon kitchen, drawstring, unscented
This is the overnight restock for a solo residential book. Most client kitchen cans are this size. Drawstring is a route choice: grab, tie, walk. If the box will not print a mil rating, treat it as thin. Unscented, because scent is a house note you cannot take back on Monday.
2. One contractor roll, about 3 mil
This is the bag that does not blow out mid-route. Wet bathroom cans, a kitchen can heavier than it looks. You do not need a 55-gallon drum liner for a recurring 3-bed. You need mil. One roll lasts if you only pull these when the 13-gal would fail.
3. Two sizes on the sheet. Not a third from the end-cap
Kitchen 13-gal and contractor. That is the restock. A warehouse variety pack with four sizes is trunk clutter. If a 30-gallon heavy is not on the book this month, it is not a Sunday line.
4. Prime / same-day if you are truly empty
If Monday’s route is real and the roll is gone, delivery timing matters more than brand. Search the size first. Then pick a listing that arrives before you leave. Do not wait for a boutique liner to ship on Wednesday.
What to skip
- 0.5–0.7 mil “value” kitchen bags. They fail on a wet can. Buying more of them is not a restock; it is a repeat leak.
- Double-bagging 13-gal to fake a contractor bag. Buy the mil. Your time on a route is the expensive part.
- An end-cap variety pack with a third and fourth size you do not use.
- Scented lavender (or “fresh linen”) as the only box in the car.
Sunday-cap note
Bags come with gloves. If you are out tonight, buy the empty bag line and leave the extra pads. Kitchen 13-gal is a real weekly burn. Contractor bags sit longer. If last week a bag blew out, you have a mil problem, not a quantity problem — do not stock up on the same thin bag.
Put “13-gal drawstring, unscented” and “contractor 3-mil” on the supply tab so you do not re-decide the spec in the aisle. Longer size notes live on the trash bags page.
